JOHN ELLICOTT, LONDON, A MID 18TH CENTURY ORMOLU-MOUNTED EBONISED QUARTER REPEATING BRACKET CLOCK having an inverted bell top with cast carrying handle and pierced side frets, brass moulded front door enclosing an 8 inch arched brass dial with gilt spandrels and silvered chapter ring around a matted centre with mock pendulum and calendar apertures and signed silvered name plaque, the arch with strike/silent dial, fronting an eight day double fusee movement with signed engraved backplate and anchor escapement striking the hours on a bell and repeating the quarters on six bells.
