RICHARD ANES A RARE 17TH CENTURY BRASS LANTERN CLOCK having a posted frame with turned finials, pierced scroll frets and strapped domed bell, the dial with Roman chapter ring and floral centre engraved and signed "Richard Anes, Neere St Andrews Church in Holburne fecit", with balance wheel verge escapement.
The dial, frame and movement are all original to each other. A finial is missing from the front right side. Side doors are missing. The alarm mechanism from the back is missing. No weights. Movement is dirty but complete and working. The balance wheel escapement looks original.
