AN EARLY 18TH CENTURY ARCHED BRASS DIAL LANTERN CLOCK WITH ALARM the brass case surmounted by a domed bell and finial, enclosing a 7" arched dial with silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals and fleur-de-lis half-hour markers, matted centre with alarm-setting disc and cast scroll spandrels, fronting a weight-driven striking movement with verge escapement and alarm work.

The front-right arm has been repaired on the bell strap; the left-side fret has been replaced; the dial is in good condition and is original to the case and movement; and the hand is also original. The movement looks to have been cleaned in recent years and will run when tension is applied to the barrels. The alarm mechanism is also complete; it is lacking ropes and only has one weight.
