A RARE AND FINE LATE 19TH CENTURY ENGLISH SILVER MOUNTED SHAGREEN HUMPBACK FUSEE CARRIAGE CLOCK the arched case with molded silver gilt edges, raised on matching button feet, the sides, back and underside all covered in shagreen, the arched engine turned gilt mask enclosing an engine turned silvered dial with gold Breguet hands, slender Roman chapter ring and moon phase aperture above silvered day, date and month apertures, fronting an eight day chain driven fusee movement with arched brass plates, gilt platform English lever escapement with bimetallic balance, contrate wheel with jeweled end stop, perpetual calendar work with four-year month cam mounted on the back plate, wound and set with the original double ended key through shuttered apertures on the back of the case. - Original gilt tooled green leather travelling case with hinged gilt handle, and signed to the underside.
