A RARE LATE 19TH CENTURY ORMOLU AND PATINATED BRONZE MYSTERY CLOCK with a vase-shaped patinated bronze stand applied with ormolu putti and scrollwork on a scrolled base, standing on a gilt moulded plinth; enclosing a circular glass Roman dial signed "ROBERT-HOUDIN PARIS" within a gilt bezel and fitted with a single arrow hand; fronting a spring-driven eight-day movement with silk suspension striking the hours and half-hours on a bell.

The clock is in very nice original condition. There is no damage to the dial, and it has its original hands. The movement is in working condition and strikes the correct hours, but it may require a service. This is a genuine original mystery clock. Please see the additional images uploaded.
