A LATE 19TH CENTURY ENGLISH ARTS AND CRAFTS EBONISED BEECH SUSSEX ARMCHAIR WITH RUSH SEAT having a bobbin turned top rail over three baluster spindles, downswept arms with spindled supports, a square woven seat, raised on turned legs united by double front stretchers and side stretchers.
93.5cm high, 55.5cm wide, 43.5cm deep
The chair has slightly loose joints on the arms. No broken or replaced parts. A small piece of timber broken off on the top right of the chair. Original rush seat with minor losses. Original paint, which is worn.
