A GEORGE III ORMOLU MOUNTED FIGURED MAHOGANY QUARTER STRIKING BRACKET CLOCK the bell top case with stepped dome and urn finials, inlaid with Prince of Wales feathers, with pierced side frets, foliate ormolu angle mounts and cast scroll feet, enclosing an 8" arched painted dial with Roman numerals, pierced hands and subsidiary strike/silent in the arch signed John Scott, Cockspur Street, London, fronting a signed triple fusee eight-day movement with scroll-engraved backplate chiming the quarters on eight bells and the hours on a larger bell.
