A REGENCY WALNUT WRITING DESK WITH GALLERIED BACK of serpentine-front form with an arched superstructure centred by a roundel above a leather-inset top, the line-inlaid frieze drawer over a fabric modesty panel, raised on square tapered legs with brass caps and castors.

In good overall condition, with no broken legs or major damage. The mechanisms work to release the side drawers and screen. The leather is in good condition. The crossbanding surrounding the leather has two cracks, one on each side. Minor losses to the stringing and crossbanding throughout.
