AN EARLY 18TH CENTURY SEAWEED MARQUETRY 12" SQUARE BRASS DIAL EIGHT-DAY LONGCASE CLOCK the 12" dial with crown and cherub spandrels, silvered Roamn chapter ring and matted centre fitted with ringed winding holes, date aperture and seconds dial, fronting a five pillar movement (fifth pillar missing) with anchor escapement and rack strike on a bell. The marquetry case with applied hood pillars scrolled geometric designs having a D moulded trunk door fitted with a lenticle above a matching plinth base.
