A PAIR OF WILLIAM AND MARY WALNUT HIGH-BACK CANED ARMCHAIRS with arched and pierced scroll crestings above cane panel backs and seats, outswept scrolled arms on turned uprights, raised on block and baluster legs united by bold pierced scroll front stretchers with square back stretchers, on carved scroll feet.

The chairs are in good overall condition. The caning is in good order with only a small area of damage to the back of one chair, approximately an inch square. The chairs are both structurally sound, with no replaced parts, and a small area of damage to the front of one foot. Old wormholes throughout.
