A GEORGE III EBONISED VERGE BRACKET CLOCK, having a bell top pediment above a glazed door with gilt sound frets and brass moulded frame enclosing a 7" arched brass dial with gilt spandrels and silvered chapter ring surrounding a matted centre with mock pendulum and calendar apertures, the arch with Strike/Silent dial fronting an eight day five pillar double fusee movement with verge escapement striking on a bell, the scroll engarved backplate with old Father Time holding a plaque enscribed "WELL Inprove Your TIME".
