DROCOURT, PARIS. A LATE 19TH CENTURY GILT-CASED GRAND SONNERIE REPEATING CARRIAGE CLOCK WITH DAY/DATE having a gilt case with bevelled glass panels and swing handle, enclosing a signed enamel dial above three subsidiary dials for day, alarm and date, fronting an eight-day spring-driven movement chiming and repeating the hours and quarters on two gongs, with strike selection lever to the underside.
17.5cm high including the handle
The case is in nice condition with no losses to the gilding, no damage to the glass panels. There is a small hairline crack on the subsidiary day dial, but no other damage or cracks to the other dials. The movement is ticking on its original escapement. It is striking the hours but not the quarters, but it is repeating the correct hours and quarters. Will require a service.
