A MID 18TH CENTURY SCARLET LACQUER CHINOISERIE VERGE BRACKET CLOCK the scarlet and gilt chinoiserie case with caddy dome top, gilt brass carry handle and four finials, pierced side frets and shaped skirt, enclosing a 5 1/2" arched brass dial with silvered chapter ring, mock pendulum and calendar apertures and strike/silent dial to the arch, fronting an eight day double fusee verge movement with foliate engraved backplate striking on a bell.
