A FINE AND RARE GEORGE III MAHOGANY MUSICAL AUTOMATON YEAR CALENDAR LONGCASE CLOCK WITH SPHERICAL MOON OF NELSON INTEREST having a swan-neck pediment above a painted and carved hood, flanked by turned columns, over a shaped trunk door and raised on a panelled plinth base, enclosing a 14" painted dial with centre seconds, concentric year calendar and subsidiary tune selection dial, the arch depicting the Battle of the Nile with a rocking ship between two fleets, beneath a rotating ball moonphase within a days of the moon chapter ring, fronting a substantial three train eight day weight driven movement with deadbeat escapement, playing six tunes on thirteen bells and striking the hours on a larger bell.
