A SMALL GEORGE II EBONY VENERED PULL QUARTER REPEATING VERGE BRACKET CLOCK the caddy top case with brass carrying handle and glazed sides with pierced sound frets enclosing a 6" arched brass dial with silvered chapter ring, calendar and mock pendulum apertures and a regulation dial to the arch, fronting an eight day fusee movement with five finned knopped pillars and a signed foliate engraved backplate, with rise and fall verge escapement repeating the quarters on two bells.

The clock is in very good original condition. Minor hairline cracks in the veneer; a small piece of veneer is missing from the corner of the mask behind the dial. The movement may need a service but is running and repeating the correct hours and quarters. The case measures 37.5cm high, not including the handle, and 16cm deep at the base.
