A SET OF FIVE EARLY TO MID-20TH CENTURY BRITISH MILITARY AND CIVILIAN SERVICE MEDALS, two being British Red Cross Society Medals awarded for proficiency in Red Cross Nursing, awarded to D.E.Dowson No. '08077' the other No. '27814'. Two British war medals issued for services in WW1, one is a Defence Medal for 1939-1945, the other is a Service Medal 1914-1918 awarded to 2 Lieut.G.R.Downson. The medal with a rainbow coloured ribbon is for service in a Theatre of war during WW1, awarded to 2 Lieut.. G.R.Dowson.
