BARRAUD & LUND, 49 CORNHILL, LONDON. NO. 5863 A MID 19TH CENTURY WALNUT LIBRARY CLOCK the moulded rectangular top case inset with bevelled glass panels on an ogee mould and plinth base, the hinged locking front door enclosing a 4 3/4" silvered engraved dial with Roman numerals and foliate engraved spandrels fronting an eight-day double chain driven fusee movement with signed backplate and anchor escapement, the inner back door having an oval badge inscribed 'PERCY WEBSTER, VENDOR 37 GT. PORTLAND ST.' - Originally part of the famous Webster collection which sold through Sotheby's in 1954.
