A 20TH CENTURY AVRO 504 PROPELLER
A 20TH CENTURY AVRO 504 PROPELLER two-bladed laminated mahogany propeller designed for the WW1-era Avro 504 biplane. Stamped to the face of the hub 'AVRO Y80 80HP GNOME TYPE 504 & 504A' and to the sides of the hub '5415', further indistinct stamps above the hub. With the AVRO logo stamped on both blades. It would have previously had canvas tips. The Avro was introduced in 1913 and remained in use until the late 1920s.
