A LARGE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH PATINATED AND GILT BRONZE AND MARBLE FIGURAL MANTEL CLOCK the arched variegated marble case flanked by a patinated bronze group of Cupid and Psyche, enclosing a circular white enamel dial with Roman numerals within a beaded gilt bezel, fronting an eight day movement striking on a bell, the plinth applied with gilt bronze classical relief panels and mouldings, raised on gilt bun feet.

The dial has repaired chips around the winding holes and some hairline cracks around the right-hand winding hole. There is a chip at the back corner of the base in the marble. All of the gilding is in good, undamaged condition; there is also no damage to the bronze figures. The movement is ticking and striking correctly. The movement looks original to the case.
