A LATE 18TH CENTURY PARISIAN SILVER AND EBONY DESK CLOCK MODELLED AS A SKULL AND CROSS BONES the inscribed hinged head translating to 'Out of the deep I called unto thee' enclosing an enamel-dial hinged watch movement with arabic numerals and chain driven fusee movement with verge escapement, engraved pierced balance cock and signed Grand Perrin, Paris No 304; mounted on an ebony square plinth base raised on ball feet - hallmarked and dated 1795 by Gottfried Merck.
