A MID 19TH CENTURY FRENCH INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION WATERWHEEL MANTEL CLOCK the patinated bronze case modelled as a turreted building with simulated brickwork and ormolu mounts surmounted by a working semaphore above a clock tower with gilt dial on a naturalist plinth with rotating waterwheel and simulated waterfall glass rod. Eight day spring driven timepiece movement with silk suspension, the base enclosing a separate spring driven movement to run all three automations.
