SAMUEL NORTON, YARMOUTH. A RARE GEORGE III MONTH DURATION QUARTER CHIMING LONGCASE CLOCK the figured mahogany case with caddy-top hood, pierced sound frets, reeded brass capped columns and moulded-edge trunk door on a beaded box base raised on a double plinth. The 14" arched brass dial with gilt masked spandrels and silvered chapter ring surrounding a foliate engraved centre with calendar aperture and centre seconds, the arch with Strike/Silent dial fronting a five-pillar eight-day three-train weight driven movement chiming the quarters on a nest of five bells and striking the hours on a larger bell.
