A FINE EARLY FRENCH GRAND SONNERIE CARRIAGE CLOCK WITH DUPLEX ESCAPEMENT the engraved gilt brass case enclosing a signed enamel dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial above an alarm dial within a gilt brass engraved mask fronting an eight-day quarter striking movement on two bells with original compensated duplex escapement. The backplate numbered "3553" and the case back having a signed hinged shuttered door.
