ANDRE ROMAIN GUILMET. A LATE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH FIGURAL MYSTERY CLOCK the gilt spelter figure holding a glass bob pendulum above an onyx base with ormolu mounts enclosing a 4" dial with applied gilt Roman numerals fronting an eight-day spring driven movement with Guilmet`s crank and stirrup escapement connected via a fixed crutch passing through the movement plates to a cylindrical steel post resting on a pin pivot and carrying the moulded plinth for the figure surmount, the backplate stamped with an oval GLT, BREVETTE, S.G.D.G - hour/half hour strike on a bell.
