A 19TH CENTURY ENGLISH WITH PERSIAN DESIGN LACQUERWORK TEA CADDY of sarcophagus form with a sloping lid painted with courtly figures within floral scroll borders, the tapering sides with figural reserves, fitted with a keyhole and raised on four button feet.

The decroation to the front panel is badly worn. Also worn to the side panels. Top and back have surface scratches. The hinges are loose. The internal lids have shrunk.
