WILLIAM JAMES MILLER, LOMBARD STREET, LONDON. A GEORGE II BUR WALNUT LONGCASE CLOCK the pagoda-top hood above a glazed door flanked by brass capped reeded columns on a slender trunk with moulded edged door and cross-banded base raised on a double plinth. The 12" gilt brass dial fitted rococo spandrels and silvered chapter ring surrounding a matted centre with subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture, strike/silent lever above the twelve fronting an eight-day five-pillar weight-driven movement striking the hours on a bell.
