EDWARD NORRIS, LONDINI FECIT. A LATE 17TH CENTURY 10” LONGCASE CLOCK MOVEMENT IN LATER BURR WALNUT CASE the hood with moulded pediment and pierced frieze above a glazed door flanked by barley twist side columns on a slender trunk with moulded edge door and brass framed lenticle on a box base. The 10" square brass dial with winged cherub-head spandrels and silvered chapter ring surrounding a matted centre with subsidiary seconds and calendar apertures fronting an eight-day weight-driven movement with countwheel strike and bolt and shutter maintaining power.
